One of four accused in double homicide takes plea deal

CARROLL, N.Y. (WIVB) – One of four men accused in the brutal murders of a southern tier couple has accepted a plea deal.

Steven Todd has pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree manslaughter and will testify against the other defendants.

Davide Coggins, Joshua McCormick and Ricky Knickerbocker are all charged with second degree murder.

Authorities say the four men broke into the home of Gordon and Joyce Skinner in the Town of Carroll last April, and after killing the couple, set the home ablaze.

According to the district attorney, Todd will still face major prison time, even with the plea deal.
