Woman stopped while driving car with missing front tire

SHELDON, N.Y. (WIVB) – Deputies say a woman crashed into four mailboxes on two separate roads, causing her airbag to deploy, and was missing a front tire when they pulled her over last Thursday.

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was called about a gray, two-door vehicle being driven erratically on Rt. 98 in the Town of Arcade. While on their way, deputies got another call about a vehicle that had hit two mailboxes on Rt. 98 and left the scene.

Officers caught up to Danielle Odrobina of Lancaster on Rt. 77, just past Rt. 20A, in the Town of Sheldon and pulled her over. Deputies say her vehicle had front end damage, damage to its undercarriage and sides, its airbag had deployed, and her car was missing a front tire.

Authorities say they discovered that the 23-year-old had also struck another two mailboxes on Rt. 77 in the Town of Bennington.

She was placed under arrested for DWAI by drugs, DWI, unlawful possession of marijuana, unsafe tire, possession of a hypodermic instrument, moving from lane unsafely and two counts of leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

After being arraigned, she was taken to the Wyoming County Jail on $5,000 bail. She will have to answer to charges in Sheldon, Bennington, and Arcade town courts.
