City Honors ranked among best high schools in U.S.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)U.S. News & World Report has ranked City Honors in Buffalo as one of the best high schools in the nation.

City Honors ranks 75 in the publication’s rankings of the nation’s 4,707 highest-scoring public high schools. It earned an 81.4 on the ‘College Readiness Index’ and boasts a student-teacher ratio of 13:1.

City Honors also earns high marks for its specialized science research program and its strong student participation in volunteerism and community service. The school, which is part of the Buffalo Public Schools system, also offers Regents or Advanced Placement courses at every grade level. Its east side campus recently underwent a $43 million restoration and expansion.
