YORKSHIRE, N.Y. (WIVB) – State Police say it wasn’t hard to spot an alleged drunk driver. They say she had an open container of alcohol in her center console when she was stopped for a traffic violation.

Troopers pulled Amy Nieves over on Savage Road in the Town of Yorkshire around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. Police say the 40-year-old Arcade woman had an open container of alcohol in her center console.

Authorities say Nieves was intoxicated and had a BAC of .20 percent, more than twice the legal limit.

Nieves is charged with aggravated DWI and other vehicle and traffic charges.
