Buffalo Zoo puts river otter pups on exhibit

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Visitors to the Buffalo Zoo will now be able to watch river otter pups learn how to swim. The zoo says they wanted to make sure the North American river otter pups could swim before leaving them on exhibit for long periods of time.

The pups learned how to swim from their mothers. You can see them at the zoo between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. daily.

Officials say the litters were born in early March to sisters Daisy and Ellie. The pups father, Rascal, came to the zoo last year from the Trevor Zoo in Millbrook, NY. All three are first time parents.
