Batavia cemetery damaged again by vandals

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A vandal has once again targeted a cemetery in Batavia. They did more damage to headstones at the Elmwood Cemetery.

This comes just two weeks after someone damaged two dozen other graves. Police have not arrested anyone.

At the time of the first incident, staff contacted as many family members as possible.

Superintendent Steven Davis had said, “I’m really at awe of why these kids do what they do. It’s such a terrible thing. Over here was a two-year-old. I mean a little kid knocking over a little kid’s stone.”
