Man admits to breaking into cars

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) – New York State Police say a man admits to breaking into cars in the Woodlands Trailer Park on Sunday. Police say 27-year-old Joseph Zavarella also admitted to stealing more than $1,000 from an unlocked vehicle on Friday.

Police say they were called to the park for a report of someone breaking into cars. When troopers questioned the Lockport man, he admitted to it.

According to police, Zavarella had a pipe with crack cocaine residue in it. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, petit larceny, attempted petit larceny, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
