Man allegedly collected unemployment while working


BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Buffalo man is accused of receiving unemployment benefits he was not entitled to. New York State Police say 32-year-old John J. Campfield Jr. received $6,700 in benefits while he was working for various employers over a three-year period of time.

According to police, he fraudulently filed paperwork and received benefits between September 2010 and October 2013. He is charged with third-degree grand larceny, first-degree falsifying business records and first-degree offering a false instrument for filing. All of the charges are felonies.
