Council to vote on former School 71 sale

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The future of a Buffalo charter school will be in front of the the city’s common council Tuesday afternoon. Members are expected to vote on the sale of the former School 71 to the King Center Charter School.

Officials from the Charter School say they’ve outgrown their current home at the King Urban Life Center on Genesee Street and need to move to better serve their students.

The center has lobbied against the move, they do not want the school to leave the neighborhood.
