ELMA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Deputies say after backing into a car in a bar’s parking lot, a man with a BAC that was three-and-a-half times over the legal limit was going to drive away.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Transit Road bar in the Town of Elma just after midnight on Friday and say they were able to stop the intoxicated man from pulling out. The driver, Aaron Jajkowski, no age given, of Cheektowaga had hit a parked car and was trying to drive away, according to investigators.

Deputies say Jajkowski had a BAC of .28 percent, which is three and a half times the legal limit. He was arrested on charges for aggravated DWI.
