Independent film shoots scene near grain mills

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A new movie production started with a bang in Buffalo. Tuesday morning film cameras rolled, and pointed at a car, which they blew up for a scene in an upcoming docudrama.

“You’re It” tells the story of a young mother who loses her husband in a crash. The director says he’s pleased to shoot the movie in western New York.

“Everybody’s so kind, and obliging and helpful and making sure all the safety factors are in place.” Director and Actor Greg Robbins said, “And the backdrop of western New York is so breathtaking.”

Robbins says he will also shoot the other scenes for the film in our area. He expects it to be released to a network or direct to DVD by the end of this year.

There was some buzz around town that Brad Pitt and Matt Damon would be in town for a shoot, but the Buffalo Niagara Film Commission says that’s not true. The movie director and stunt director also confirmed they are not connected to the film.

The stunt director was Arnold Schwarzenegger’s stunt double for 15 years.
