Police: Man fired shotgun at vehicle with two inside

FRANKLINVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – A southern tier man is facing charges for allegedly threatening a victim with a knife and a hammer during a domestic incident, and then firing a shotgun at a vehicle with two people inside.

Deputies say the incident happened on Cherry Street in the Village of Franklinville around 9:30 p.m. last Wednesday. Osmond Hernandez of Humphrey was taken into custody on two counts of first degree reckless endangerment, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of second degree menacing.

Investigators say the 30-year-old threatened a person with a knife and a hammer before firing a shotgun at a vehicle with two people inside.

He is due back in court at a later date.
