Buffalo schools plan to hire teachers, aides


BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Thanks to a boost from New York State, the Buffalo School District is looking to increase full-time staffing by 72 people.

The Budget Committee of the Buffalo School Board has come up with a budget plan that is 1.5 percent higher than the current year. It increases full time staffing by 72 people, including 26 teachers and 26 teacher aides.

The district received about $30 million more than expected from NYS. The Board will vote on this budget May 14th.
