MEDINA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Another regional newspaper is going under. The Medina Journal-Register reports that it will cease operations at the end of May.

Publisher Diane Crowe said that subscribers will be given the option of taking a trial subscription to the Lockport Union-Sun & Journal. Subscribers who don’t wish to continue with the Lockport paper will be issued a refund.

The paper’s final edition will be on Friday, May 30.
