Pendleton residents to discuss biosolid restriction

meeting

PENDLETON, N.Y. (WIVB) – During a public meeting Thursday night in Pendleton, residents will weigh in on plans to store sewer sludge in their town.

Quasar Energy wants to store fertilizer in Niagara County, but the town would need to modify its code restricting biosolids.

Earlier this week, the company gave up on plans to build a five million gallon storage facility in Wheatfield.

Thursday’s meeting is at 7:30 p.m. at the Pendleton Town Hall.
