Taplin, Williams, Bathurst, Brown headline All-State hoops team

Four Western New York stars earned first-team All-State honors in high school basketball today.

Sterling Taplin (Williamsville North), Donte Williams (Bishop Timon), Wil Bathurst (Olean), and Bri’an Brown (Middle Early College) all landed on the first team in their class. The complete list of local All-State selections is included below.

Class AA
1st – Sterling Tapling (Williamsville North)
4th – Zach Panebianco (Jamestown)
6th – Quinn Lee Yaw (Jamestown)
9th – Ryan Funk (Clarence)

Class A
1st – Donte Williams (Bishop Timon)
3rd – Howard Washington (Canisius)
5th – Stafford Trueheart (Canisius)
6th – Cam Lewis (Nichols)
8th – Chris Miner (Nichols)
9th – Phil Bowen (Iroquois)
10th – Dominick Welch (Cheektowaga)

Class B
1st – Wil Bathurst (Olean)
2nd – Sam Eckstrom (Olean)
2nd – Johnathan Lewis (East)
6th – Nick Schmidt (Olean)
9th – Lester Diaz (Lafayette)
11th – Dylan Meyer (Fredonia)

Class C
1st – Bri’an Brown (Middle Early College)
2nd – Kevin Briggs (Middle Early College)
3rd – Bill Brooks (Silver Creek)
5th – Jake Haight (Barker)
7th – T.J. Scott (Middle Early College)

Class D
2nd – Ryan Robson (Sherman)
3rd – Andrew Graham (Sherman)
