JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Jamestown nurse who admitted stealing forms and writing herself prescriptions for Oxycodone will not spend any time behind bars.

Samilyn Olson, who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute Oxycodone, was sentenced Friday to one year home detention and three years supervised release.

The 47-year-old used to work as a nurse at the Veterans Affairs Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Jamestown. After writing the prescriptions, either Olson or others would fill them at a local pharmacy and then distribute the pills. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
