VERSAILLES, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two men are facing charges and officers are looking for a third after State Police say the three men were caught on video pawning stolen goods.

On April 4, a homeowner returned to find two flat screen TVs and a video game system missing from a house on Burning Springs Road in Versailles. State Police investigated, and after interviewing neighbors, were able to develop 20-year-old Thomas Jones of Irving as a suspect.

As their investigation continued, troopers learned of the items being sold at a pawn shop in Derby. There police say they obtained video evidence that showed Jones, 18-year-old Jeffrey Hittle of Angola, and a third subject, who has yet to be charged, selling the stolen items.

Jones and Hittle are both charged with fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property. Jones is additionally charged with second degree burglary.

Hittle is due back in court at a later date. Jones is being held on $1,000 bail in the Cattaraugus County Jail. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
