PENDLETON, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Niagara County woman is facing charges after she allegedly threw oil at a family member while wielding a kitchen knife.
State Police arrested Crystal Hawkes of Pendleton last Friday on charges of second degree menacing, second degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.
Troopers say during a dispute, the 37-year-old wielded a kitchen knife in a threatening manner towards a family member and threw oil from a frying pan at a family member. Authorities say these actions took place in front of a child, and add Hawkes was being verbally abusive at the time.
She was taken to the Niagara County Jail on $250 bail.
