Human remains found in Cattaraugus Creek


PERRYSBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – State Police are investigating after human remains were found in fast-moving Cattaraugus Creek in the Town of Perrysburg.

The Seneca Nation Marshall’s Office called troopers about the remains on Tuesday after they were found by a local fisherman. Officers descended into the gorge and determined the remains did belong to a human.

Preliminary findings indicate the remains belong to a female.
