Two teens accused of drinking, having beer

DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two teens are accused of drinking alcohol and having beer after being stopped for speeding in the City of Dunkirk.

Deputies stopped Robert Piotrowicz, 19, of Hamburg around 2:15 a.m. on Sunday for speeding on Millard Fillmore Avenue. Authorities determine he and his passenger, Tyler Gaglia, 18, also of Hamburg, had been drinking alcohol and had beer in their possession.

Though not intoxicated, deputies say Piotrowicz was detained under the zero-tolerance law for consuming alcohol and operating a motor vehicle under the age of 21. Both Piotrowicz and Gaglia were cited for unlawful possession of alcohol under the age of 21.

Both are due in court at a later date, and authorities say Piotrowicz will appear in a DMV hearing, where his license may be suspended. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
