HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Erie County Fair announced two exciting events happening this summer.
Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Music Director Joann Falletta announced the BPO will be playing at the fair for the first time in more than 50 years. They will play opening night, August 6th.
Another headliner at the fair is Daredeveil Nik Wallenda, on Sunday, August 10th. He will walk for 1,400 feet, while at 110 feet in the air. His sky walk over the fair grounds will be longer than his walk across the Niagara Falls.
“I actually enjoy walking over a setting like this because I’m able to look down and see the crowd. Sometimes I’m even able to communicate with the crowd. I can hear them. I can feel them,” Wallenda said.
This is all part of the fair’s 175th anniversary celebrations.
