BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – As every NFL Draft pick takes the stage Thursday night, keep your eyes open for the Buffalo connection.
Each will receive a hat in their new team colors from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. And every hat is being provided by New Era Cap.
Officials at the Buffalo-based company say it takes a lot of coordination to make Draft night a success.
Spokeswoman Katie Kulczyk explained, “Our team services department team actually takes over 3,000 caps down to Radio City Music Hall. They do a fitting before with the players, they’ll know their size when they get there, and then once they make the announcement, they’ll have everything organized, per team, in size order, so they can grab the cap quickly, and shake hands with the new player.”
All of the caps were designed at New Era’s headquarters in downtown Buffalo.
