Jacobs pushes Lowes to change policy for veterans

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs wants to push Lowe’s to treat all veterans equally. Thursday, he’s calling on vets to join him and sign a petition urging the store to change its military discount policy.

All Lowe’s stores are enforcing a corporate policy that offers a 10-percent discount only to retired military veterans or those with a VA card. That does not include the majority of honorably discharged service members.
