Luncheon will honor US Armed Forces

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Armed Forces Week, an annual event honoring our service members, continues Thursday in western New York.

The Connecticut Street Armory will host the 54th annual Armed Forces Week luncheon. Cocktails, with a cash bar, will begin at 11 a.m. and a sit-down luncheon begins at noon, for $30.

Major General Patrick Murphy will be the keynote speaker. He served in Kuwait and received a number of honors, including the bronze star.

The Armed Forces Ball is Saturday, with a cash bar beginning at 6 p.m. and a sit-down dinner beginning at 7 p.m.
