Pair indicted on federal drug charges

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Buffalo man and a Mexican national have been indicted on federal charges of drug possession.

During a traffic stop on Saturday, State Police say they found more than 100 grams of heroin in a vehicle whose occupants were Ricardo Melendez (a.k.a Ricardo Sanchez, or Pupu), 18, of Buffalo and Abraham Tiro-Sanchez (a.k.a. Shorty, or Mexico), 22, of Mexico. Both men were taken into custody and were indicted Thursday on charges of possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 100 grams of heroin.
