Window tint violation leads to DWI arrest

RANDOLPH, N.Y. (WIVB) – A window tint violation led to the arrest of a drunk driver, State Police say.

Troopers stopped Jonathan Riddell on Rt. 241 in the Town of Randolph for a window tint violation. Officers say they could detect a strong odor of alcohol on the 32-year-old Conewango Valley man, and add Riddell failed field sobriety tests.

He was arrested for DWI and troopers say at the station, he provided a breath test that revealed a .13 percent BAC.

Riddell is due back in court at a later date. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
