BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A convicted sex offender was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison for possession of child pornography.

Daniel Cay of Buffalo was arrested in January last year after a forensic exam of his computer revealed over 300 images of child porn, some of which depicted violence against children.

The 26-year-old was convicted of second degree sexual assault of a minor in Connecticut in 2006.

Cay was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison on Friday.
