Man sentenced for selling counterfeit goods at Walden Super Flea

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Rochester man who sold counterfeit goods at the Walden Super Flea in Cheektowaga was sentenced Friday in federal court.

Law enforcement previously seized more than 650 counterfeit purses, wallets, shoes and boots being sold under such names as Ugg, Michael Kors and Coach from Carmelo Gimeli at the Walden Super Flea in Cheektowaga.

The 67-year-old was convicted of trafficking in counterfeit goods and sentenced to four months of electronic monitoring and 24 months of supervised release. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
