SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — A Syracuse woman has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for holding down two young girls while her husband raped them.

Local media report that 27-year-old Sierra Clark wept and said she was sorry during her sentencing Friday in Onondaga County Court. She pleaded guilty April 3 to helping her husband Ronald Clark rape the two girls, ages 2 and 4, multiple times between April and August 2010.

The judge and prosecutors agreed to the 15-year sentence in exchange for her testimony against her 23-year-old husband, who was sentenced earlier this year to at least 27 years in prison.

Sierra Clark’s attorney said Sierra Clark has a low IQ and was “groomed” by her husband to help him carry out the rapes of the girls.
