Town of Castile offices re-open

TOWN OF CASTILE, N.Y. (WIVB) – Offices in the Town of Castile opened again on Saturday after a fire destroyed the building almost two years ago.

The Castile government center celebrated the opening of the building.

After the fire, town employees had to work out of offices at a local bank. The arrangement caused some day-to-day challenges.

Castile Town Supervisor Stephen Tarbell said, “Most of my paperwork was on the back seat of my truck, so doing the paperwork and grabbing your stuff was kind of annoying, but we got through it.”

The old building was 130-years-old and housed the town and village municipal offices and the town courtroom.
