Annual Elephant Run happening Sunday morning

Elephant Run

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Mother’s Day tradition will get underway Sunday morning in Buffalo’s Delaware Park.

The annual Elephant Run benefits the Marcena Lozano Donate Life Scholarship. Lozano was a graduate of City Honors School in Buffalo who received two heart transplants.  She died when she was only 25-years-old.

Money raised from this event supports college scholarships for transplant recipients.

Sunday’s race starts at 9:30 a.m. Runners and walkers should gather at the Marcy Casino in the park. Registration closes at 9 a.m.
