Bisons set season highs in win over Knights

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA (WIVB) – The Buffalo Bisons beat the Charlotte Knights 8-4 on Mother’s Day at BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte. In the win Buffalo scored four home runs and had six stolen bases, setting season highs in both categories.

Jared Goedert scored two home runs, including a three-run shot that gave the Bisons a 5-2 lead. Anthony Gose also contributed to team’s season-best stats. He stole two bases and hit a solo home run in the seventh inning, giving the Bisons a 6-4 lead.  The Bisons added two runs in the 8th inning, including Dan Johnson’s home run. The home run marked Johnson’s sixth of the season.

The Bisons snapped a four-game losing streak on Saturday with an 8-3 win over the Knights. Buffalo is currently 6-1 against Charlotte this season.  The Herd currently leads the NL North division with a 20-14 record.  The Bisons will play their final game of the series on Monday at 12:05pm in Charlotte.
