Clarence man charged with felony DWI

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Clarence man previously convicted of DWI in 2013 is facing felony charges after being stopped for driving erratically on Main Street.

Erie County Sheriff’s deputies were alerted to an erratic driver by a citizen and caught up to 67-year-old John Sparshott at Main and Strickler Road. Officers say a breath test revealed Sparshott had a BAC of .12 percent.

He is charged with felony DWI, failing to use an interlock device and unsafe tires. He is due back in court at a later date.
