FANCHER, N.Y. (WIVB) – An Orleans County man is accused of stealing $1,300 in SNAP benefits by lying about his employment status.

State Police say Derek Dingman collected cash benefits between December 2013 and March 2014 while he was employed at a business in East Rochester.

The 29-year-old allegedly failed to notify Orleans County Department of Social Services about his position.
