Regents chancellor to discuss refugee students


BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The New York State Regents Chancellor is getting a first-hand look at Buffalo Schools Thursday. Merry Tisch will join with State Assemblyman Sean Ryan to visit International School 45, Lafayette High School and the Star Academy at Grover Cleveland High School.

They will be discussing the needs to refugee students and students learning the English language, and New York’s role in educating them. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
