ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP MODIFIED) — The Buffalo Bills have signed their third-round draft pick, linebacker Preston Brown.
“I think it fits me well. It seems exciting and what I’ve read so far there are a lot of blitzes and different packages in there that I’ve learned, Brown said on Tuesday when he was introduced to the media. “It seems fun because I know we blitzed a lot at Louisville and I’ll have fun here doing that.”
The deal was announced Saturday, about an hour before the Bills opened a three-day rookie minicamp.
Brown was drafted with the 73rd pick out of Louisville. Brown was a three-year starter and had a career-best 4½ sacks last season.
Brown is known for his run-stopping ability. He’s skills are similar to the Bills Brandon Spikes, who signed a one-year deal with Buffalo earlier in the season.
He becomes the fourth of Buffalo’s seven picks to sign.
