Hospice walk raises $260k

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Between 3,000-4,000 walkers took to Canalside today for the 18th annual Hospice Walk.

Walkers included included loved ones, friends and families of hospice patients.

The 5-k walk took walkers through Buffalo’s scenic waterfront and historic downtown.

“The family and friends that are joinintg us today, are helping us to raise over $200,000 and every dime of it stays right here in Buffalo,” Pat Ahern, CEO of Hospice Buffalo said.

The walk turned out to be a great success for hospice – the event raised more than $260,000.
