Teen arrested at high school over Rx pills

GERRY, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 16-year-old was arrested at Cassadaga Valley Central High School for allegedly possessing a controlled substance.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to the school on Rt. 60 in Gerry Wednesday afternoon after receiving information the male student was in possession of narcotics. School officials brought the teen to officers, who found he had two bottles of a prescription narcotic medication in his possession that belonged to a different youth.

The Sinclairville teen was arrested on charges of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and is due back in court at a later date.
