LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) – Consumer Credit Counseling Service opened its second location in Niagara County Tuesday morning on Ontario Street in Lockport.
CCCS hopes to provide financial coaching to some of the 19,000 Lockport residents who are struggling financially or living in poverty.
Michele Schmidt of East Hill Foundation said, “You’re doing the work that really is helpful to the families here in Lockport, and we’re grateful. On behalf of the board of East Hill Foundation, that folks like you are helping people one-on-one to achieve financial stability and to stay here in Lockport as well.”
Groups including the East Hill Foundation, Oishei Foundation and United Way provided the funding to open the office in Lockport.
CCCS opened in Niagara Falls last October.
