Crash sends two people to hospital

CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A crash in Chautauqua sent two people to the hospital by helicopter, Tuesday afternoon. The sheriff’s office says a vehicle was pulling out of Light House Grocery when it crashed with another car.

Officials say 38-year-old Scott Boardman was driving north on Route 394 when 22-year-old Edward L. Schlabach pulled in front of him. The vehicles collided and ended up on the west side of the road.

Boardman’s passenger, 37-year-old Autumn Boardman, of Mayville, was taken to Hamot Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. Scott Boardman was not injured.

Schlabach was extricated from his car and taken to Hamot Medical Center.
