Former employee admits stealing from jewelry store

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) – A woman formerly employed by Reed’s Jewelers now admits she stole 14 pieces of jewelry over a three-month period.

Jocelyn Ramey pleaded guilty Tuesday to third degree grand larceny. The 31-year-old Canadian citizen admitted that between November 2013 and January 2014, she stole 14 pieces of jewelry from the Amherst store valued at almost $10,000.

Because Ramey has been deemed a flight risk, she has been held since March 31 on $200,000 bail. She will be sentenced in June.
