BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Cheektowaga man will spend nearly three years in prison for robbing two M&T Bank branches in Buffalo.

Last summer, Jeffrey Turner robbed the M&T on Tonawanda Street and Hertel Avenue. In both instances, Turner threatened the use of a weapon.

The 24-year-old was convicted on a federal charge of bank robbery and sentenced to 33 month in prison on Tuesday.

He’s also been ordered to pay $4,639 in restitution.
