LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Job cuts and programs are on the line as voters head to the polls in local school board elections Tuesday.
There are closely-watched races in Lackawanna, where the proposed spending plan calls for job cuts primarily in special education. That district faces a $3 million budget gap.
There is a lot on the ballot in Hamburg, where cuts in foreign language, changes in music and larger class sizes in elementary schools are possible if that budget passes.
When the polls close, WIVB.com will have the results for the school budget votes.
