BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – There is a shake up in command in the Buffalo District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The commander, Lt. Col. Owen Beaudoin, has been relieved from command because of personal misconduct.
The Commanding General of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, Brig. Gen. Margaret W. Burcham, says she lost confidence in his ability to command.
A statement from Burcham reads, “Despite this unfortunate situation involving the former commander, I continue to have total faith in the Buffalo District team to successfully carry on with their important mission.”
Maj. Michael Busby, the deputy district commander, is in command until the new commander, Lt. Col. Karl Jansen, assumes command at a ceremony in June.
