Boil water order issued for Westfield

water boil order faucet

Village of Westfield residents are asked to boil their water until further notice.

The village asked water customers to conserve water after the recent heavy rains but not they are advising to boil water or used boil water for cooking and drinking.

The village recommends residents boil water for one minute and then let it cool before using, or use bottled water certified for sale by the New York State Department of Health.

Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, and food preparation until further notice.

Boiling kills any bacteria and other organisms in the water. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
