BPO thanks veterans with pair of free concerts

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra is saying thank you to our nation’s heroes with a pair of free concerts.

Their first “Star Spangled Pops” show is happening at 10:30 a.m. Friday. At that show there will be complimentary coffee and donuts. The second is at 8 p.m. Saturday. Current and former military personnel are invited to attend free of charge.

Jonathan Tessero will lead the concert. It is expected to have a program that resonates with everyone who served our country, whether they fought in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq or Afghanistan.

They can get a free ticket to either show, all they have to do is present their military ID at the BPO box office at Kleinhans.
