BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his new running mate, former U.S. Rep. Kathy Hochul, are hitting the campaign trail with a rally in western New York.
The two Democrats headed to Erie County on Friday for a campaign rally at a union office, their first event since they accepted their party’s nominations this week on Long Island.
Hochul is a Buffalo resident. Cuomo selected her this week as his pick to be the state’s next lieutenant governor.
This fall they face Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino, who is the Westchester County executive, and his running mate, Chemung County Sheriff Chris Moss.
