Kennedy calls on state to fix two major roads

Lackawanna roads

LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (WIVB) – New York State Senator Tim Kennedy is calling on the state to take over two major roads, Ridge Road and South Park Avenue.

Kennedy says that financial challenges in Lackawanna make it tough for them to make the repairs, and that it’s time for New York to step up with help.

“Repaving it, doing a new street scape design through the City of Lackawanna.  But enhancing the thoroughfare, bringing it up to speed and up to the level that the people of Lackawanna and the people of Western New York deserve,” said Kennedy.

Kennedy says the two roads are critical to regional transportation and local tourism. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
