TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB)

The Sears Appliance and Hardware store is advertising a going out of business sale for its store in the Town of Tonawanda.

The store at 1764 Sheridan Drive will close when they sell out most of their inventory so there is not a definite closing date listed.

Sears Appliance and Hardware is no longer owned by Sears Holdings – they spun off the hardware division in 2012.

Sears Canada is up for sale and their first quarter losses more than doubled.  The retailer is blaming the impact of an unseasonably cold winter.
